Ryan Burrowes aka Looking Svelte released his solo debut EP ‘Gelatine’ on February 17th. The song ‘Evolved’ is taken from said EP and Ryan is known for his work with Robocobra Quartet and A Band Called Boy.

LE BOOM – What We Do

Hailing from Dublin and Brooklyn, Le Boom is a two-piece electronic duo comprised of Chris and Aimie. You can watch the official music video for ‘What We Do’ on their official website.

Lavengro – Take The Fall

Gareth, Dave, Emmet, Jack and James are Lavengro from Derry~Londonderry. They haven’t been together long but have already played Electric Picnic after a Battle of the Bands win at Whelan’s in Dublin beating 47 other Irish acts. You can stream their EP ‘Take It Or Leave It’ here.

Emily McCormick – Spellbinding

Emily McCormick is a Derry born singer/songwriter now living in London. Her track ‘Spellbinding is available to stream online now.

Fille – Debris

Fille is a classically trained singer/producer based in London but originally from Northern Ireland. There isn’t much information available on this artist but you can listen to ‘Debris’ here.

Talos – Odyssey

‘Odyssey’ is the new single from Talos, taken from the debut album ‘Wild Alee’. Based in Cork, they play Voodoo on Thursday May 25th.

Gross Net - Still

Gross Net is the brainchild of Belfast based Philip Quinn known for his work with Girls Names, Charles Hurts and others. The track ‘Still’ is taken from the debut album ‘Quantitative Easing’ which was released on Touch Sensitive Records in November.

Scenery – Fool For You

Scenery are a five piece rock band from Derry~Londonderry. Their song ‘Fool For You’ was released in February and is from their forthcoming sophomore E.P. You can stream the song in full here.

Saint Sister – Tin Man

Formed in November 2014, Saint Sister is Morgan MacIntyre and Gemma Doherty. They have been nominated by The Choice Music Prize for Song of the Year along with the likes of The Coronas, Niall Horan and James Vincent McMorrow. ‘Tin Man’ is available to stream for free right now.

Mugged By A Ghost – The Midwest

Fronted by Jordan McMurray, Mugged By A Ghost are a four piece rock band hailing from Belfast. They recently recorded ‘Do You Feel The Same Way’ at Start Together Studios which you can listen to here.

Young Earth – Got A Secret

Consisting of Mark, Ben, Alex and Dylan, Young Earth are a pop rock band from Dublin. Their song ‘Got A Secret’ releases on Friday March 10th and they play Whelan’s in Dublin on Saturday March 11th.

Ciara Donnelly – The Hunter

Known for her time on ‘The Voice of Ireland’, Ciara Donnelly is Dublin/London based songwriter and vocalist. Her new single ‘The Hunter’ is out now.

Saramai are an alt rock band fronted by Saramai Leech based in Meath. Their EP ‘Magnetic North’ which includes the track ‘Heavenly’ was released in October last year.

ELLLL – Romance

ELLLL aka Ellen King is a producer from Cork. ‘Romance’ was released on the Art For Blind label which can be streamed for free and she plays the Output Festival after party on Thursday 16th February at Bullitt.

The Penny Dreadfuls – Super 3000

Comprised of Benny, Denny, Gary, Paddy and Aaron, The Penny Dreadfuls are a garage rock band from Belfast. ‘Super 3000’ is available to listen to online right now and they play Sin E in Dublin on March 24th.

For Foresters – Towels

‘Towels’ is the debut single from Donegal and Dublin band For Foresters. They play Whelan’s Upstairs on Wednesday March 8th as part of the Other Voices Music Trail and you can stream ‘Towels’ now.

Lady Pocket – Aloha

Lady Pocket are a four piece rock rock band based in London. Danny and Matt are from Belfast and Alex and Jamie are from England. ‘Aloha’ is due for release on Friday February 10th via RYP Recordings.

Party Fears – Rep

Originally formed as a side project in Seoul, South Korea but now based in Berlin, Germany, Party Fears is fronted by Maggie Devlin. ‘Rep’ is available to stream and download for free here.

Sun Mahshene – No Control

Sun Mahshene is the brainchild of Nathan Henderson, a collective of musicians from Dublin. It was initially set up as a solo project but then eventually grew into what we’re hearing now. Their four track EP ‘Drones That Don’t Kill’ is available to stream now.

Warsaw Radio – After Eve

Comprised of Brian, Laurence, Paul, Nikki and Chris and currently based in Brighton, Warsaw Radio are due to release their latest single, the pop ballad ‘After Eve’ on March 10th. They are soon to embark on a mini tour of Ireland with dates in Dublin, Cork and Limerick on March 22nd, 23rd and 24th respectively.

James Poucher - Rose

James Poucher is a 15 year old, multi-instrumentalist from Newry making DIY tracks in his bedroom. He doesn’t have much social media presence as of yet but we will keep you up to date with any developments we hear of in James’ world.

Documenta – Word Song

‘Word Song’ was released during Independent Venue week and is a cover of a song by Welsh band Yucatan. It appears on a limited run cd which features Documenta, Yucatan and Horsebeach covering each-others songs.

PATHS – Neoprene

PATHS is the new project of ex-Nakatomi Towers member Julianne Shaw. Her high tempo, electronica single‘Neoprene’ was released in January this year and you can stream it right now.

Meadowlark – Love & Death

R. Jake Lennox is a member of the bands Sister Ghost and Junk Drawer, and this is his new ambient dance project called Meadowlark. ‘Love & Death’ is available to stream and download for free here.

I Have A Tribe is Patrick O’Leary from Dublin, Ireland. ‘After We Meet’ is taken from his full length record ‘Beneath A Yellow Moon’, Patrick tours Europe soon and plays Whelan’s, Dublin on Friday March 3rd.

S.L.T – Domestic

Comprised of Oisin, Elliot and Will from Derry~Londonderry, S.L.T are fairly fresh on the scene and have gigged with the likes of Touts, Shoot The Messenger and will play TOTT in Omagh on the 4th of February.

We Cut Corners – Of Whatever

Recently nominated for the Choice Music Prize for their album ‘The Cadences of Others’, We Cut Corners are a two piece hailing from Dublin. The album was released in November 2016 and is available to stream for free now.

The Mad Dalton – Oh Marseille

Peter GW Sumadh aka The Mad Dalton is a Scots/Canadian songwriter currently living in Belfast. He released his EP ‘The Little Belfry’ in 2015 and is currently working on his debut LP which ‘Oh Marseille’ will feature on.

First Pope feat. Farah Elle – Sinking

First Pope is Fabian Molloy from Dublin and he collaborates on this track with Farah Elle a singer/songwriter from Dublin. You can stream the track for free and she is currently working on her album at home and appeared on the latest Bantum album called ‘Move’.

Ailbhe Reddy – Relent

Hailing from Dublin, Ailbhe’s latest single ‘Relent’ comes off the back of the success of her EP ‘Hollowed Out Sea’ which are both available to stream for free. She plays the Sugar Club in Dublin on February 22nd.

Daithi – Virgin Eyes (Remix)

Daithi is an Irish musician and producer from Galway who has recently remixed ‘Virgin Eyes’ by the Icelandic band WESEN. He released his album ‘In Flight’ in 2014 and you can stream ‘Virgin Eyes’ for free here.

Hailing from Dublin, No Monster Club is the brainchild of Bobby Ahern. Bobby will be releasing two new tracks every month for free under the No Monster Club moniker and the first of which can be downloaded for free now.

Saint Sapphire – She’s A Hero

Saint Sapphire are four boys from Belfast; Samuel, Jack, Thomas and Andy. They launch their debut EP at Voodoo on Friday February 3rd and ATL likens them to early Manic Street Preachers.

Otherkin – Yeah I Know

Currently on their Irish tour, Otherkin are a four piece rock band from Dublin. You can listen to ‘Yeah I Know’ on ‘The New Vice EP’ which you can download or stream today.

Comrade Hat – Go To Waste

Neil Burns is Comrade Hat from Derry~Londonderry, a former member of Strength NIA. ‘Go To Waste’ features on his brand new EP ‘Old Amsterdam’ which was self released on January 17th 2017.

Ravens – Halfway There

Described by Stu as full of twisted heart, Ravens are an instrumental post rock band from Belfast. Their tracks ‘Halfway There’ and ‘The Easy Yoke’ are available to stream and download on their official website.

The Deltahorse – Call It A Day

Taken from their album ‘Transatlantic’, ‘Call It A Day’ is by The Deltahorse, a rocktronic band hailing from various different parts of the world including Belfast, Berlin and Boston and possess a laddish swagger not unlike Kasabian according to team ATL. ‘Transatlantic’ was released on Slower Faster records.

Taken from the upcoming album ‘TVGUIDESOULMUSIC’, ‘Elementals’ is available to listen to right now. The album releases on the 21st of December.

ROE – Fake Ur Death

ROE aka Roisin Donald is a 17 year old musician from Derry. Since the release of her debut E.P she has collaborated with MOBO award nominee David Lyttle and is currently working on her second record titled ‘You Call It Art’ due for release in spring 2017.

The Sea, Close By – Prepare To Evacuate Soul

The Sea, Close By are Kate, Alastair, Dan and Kerilee from Belfast. They support New Atlas at The Eglantine, Belfast on the 17th of December.

Bare Bear – Venice Is Sinking

Robocobra Quartet are an avant-garde jazz band fronted by Chris Ryan. Formed in 2014, the band release their debut album ‘Music for All Occasions’ on November 18th and play Belfast as part of their UK tour on the same night.

Robyn G Shiels – If I Were Thy Demon
‘If I Were Thy Demon’ is the first single from a forthcoming, as yet untitled EP that is due for release in March 2017. He plays The Venue, Kiwi’s on November 19th.

Raphael Doyle – I Come From Ireland
Originally from Whitehead, Raphael Doyle has lived in England since the 1970s. This is a music and spoken-word poetry collaboration between Raphael and his son, Louis Doyle.

The Urges – Echoes Softly
‘Echoes Softly’ is taken from The Urges’ freshly released second album ‘Time Will Pass’, released on Steve Van Zant’s label, Wicked Cool Records.

Matua Trap – Glossolalia

Bloomer White – Hornets
‘Hornets’ is out now on Extended Play, long-running label from Belfast DJ and producer Timmy Stewart, who was one of many performing at nightclub Twitch’s tenth birthday last Saturday 8th October.

Janet Devlin – Outernet Song
Janet Devlin has released two records since her appearance on The X-Factor in 2011, ‘Outernet Song’ is her latest single. She’ll be appearing on Radio Ulster with Gerry Kelly this Saturday 15th October.

Daz – Go To Sleep
The latest track from Belfast rapper Daz, ‘Go To Sleep’ is taken from EP, ‘The Zone’. The accompanying video features plenty of local locations, including shots from the top of Cave Hill.

SX-70 – Sin
Taking cues from early Black Sabbath, SX-70 are a Lisburn rock band; keep an eye on their Facebook page for tour dates.

The Smoke Clears – Heaven Sent
This is taken from the second album from The Smoke Clears, side project of Galway house/techno producer John Daly. It launches at Wigwam, Dublin, on 22nd October.

Ganglions – Say No More
Pronounced ‘Gang-lee-ons’, this math-rock trio have recently released their debut EP, ‘FETCH!’, from which ‘Say No More’ is taken.

Public House – Glass Door
Barely a year old, Public House are currently recording after studiously writing since their inception in 2015. This Doors-esque track is the first of these releases.

Singers From Berlin – Doghead
Information on ‘Singers From Berlin’ is sparse, other than that ‘the set-up is like a conservative swimsuit – a one-piece’. Taken from the ‘Minor Hooks EP’, Doghead reminds ATL of cinematic electro act Tangerine Dream.

Wife – Glass Interruption
The latest project by James Kelly - formerly known as black metal act Altar Of Plagues - WIFE will be releasing the ‘Standard Nature’ EP on 23rd September.

FELLEN – Stay
FELLEN is the solo project of LORIS frontwoman Frances Mitchell, also known for her work with Everyday Superheroes.

An alt-rock super-group of sorts, Little Neddy Goes To War features Emma Gallagher of Making Monsters on vocals, along with Aimee Williamson of Beauty Sleep, Liam McCloskey - guitarist with Dog Will Hunt - and Grace Leacock formerly of Vanilla Gloom on drums.

Oh Boland – Where’s The Beach
Hailing from Tuam in Galway, Oh Boland’s track ‘Where’s The Beach’ comes from an EP called ‘A Litany Of Failures’ alongside music by Shrug Life, Junk Drawer and That Snaake. They’ll be touring with Hot Cops in late August.

Ryan McMullan – Holding Me Down
Fresh from Lattitude Festival, Ryan McMullan joined Foy Vance on stage along with Ed Sheeran to play Foy Vance’s, ‘Guiding Light’.

Elm – Concentrate
A very busy summer for Elm, they have played Body and Soul and Gay Pride in Dublin, as well as Music City 2016 in Derry~Londonderry and Indiependence in Cork. ‘Concentrate’ is their latest release, available now.

Runabay – Woodpecker
Originally coming from a handful of rural villages in the Glens Of Antrim and Belfast, indie-folk favourites Runabay are back with this brand new track. They perform live at the Heart Of The Glens Festival in Cushendall on Wednesday 10th August.

The Retro – Some Morning
Taken from recently released debut EP, ‘Suburbia’, this is the latest single from indie-rock four-piece The Retro, with summer gigs expected to be announced soon.

Duke Special - Mockingbird Wish Me Luck

The first track on Duke Special’s 2008 album 'I Never Thought This Day Would Come.' He is playing the Social Sounds Festival in the Cathedral Quarter in Belfast on Friday 9th September.

Hiva Oa – A Great Height

A five piece band alt pop band from Belfast consisting of Stephen, Christine, Daithi, Chris and Matt. Their single ‘A Great Height’ was released on 1st July 2016 and is available for download now.

Far Caspian – December

A solo project by Fermanagh native Joel Johnston aka Far Caspian, ‘December’ is his first track released 9 months ago.

CC Brez – Her Alibi

Former Republic of Loose member, CC BREZ is a Dublin based songwriter and guitarist nicknamed the Irish King of Funk. ‘Her Alibi’ is the first track from his debut album ‘The Nightfall.’ You can see him next at the Indiependence Music Fesitval, in Mitchelstown, Cork, 29th - 31st July.

The Darkling Air – Storyline

Songwriter and vocalist Rachel McCarthy (Farriers) met composer and producer Michael Keeney (Foy Vance, Duke Special) while mixing a record in Donegal and joined forces in late 2015 to become The Darkling Air. They launch their debut album at the Open House Festival in the Queens Parade Church, Bangor on the 25th August.

Swords – Betty Machete

The first single from their new album ‘Tidal Waves’ due this winter, Dublin band Swords have been working with Karl Odlum on the followup of their debut album ‘Lion & Gold’ released in 2013. The song was mastered by Grammy winning engineer Mandy Parnell.

Thomas John – Better Days

Singer/songwriter from Ireland, Thomas John just released his debut EP ‘Easy Tiger’. He is supporting Johanna Fegan on her EP launch in The Anchor Bar, Derry, on the 29th July.

Pascal – Love In The Form Of Death Rays
The latest project by Danny McClelland of The Bayonettes, ‘Love In The Form Of Death Rays’ is the follow-up to Pascal’s previous release, ‘The Good The Bad And The Forever Sad’.

The Witch Trials – Wonderland

Rodney Owl – Panic Attack
A project by musician Mark McConville, information on Rodney Owl is sparse, although he lists classic Hollywood icons Laurel and Hardy among his influences.

This is the brand new single from Dublin duo I Am The Cosmos. Launched last Saturday, we think it draws inspiration lyrically and vocally from Joy Division.

Brendan Totten – Summer Lovin’ You
Nineteen year old singer-songwriter Brendan Totten recently began recording his debut EP, with help from Cormac Neason and Paul Mahon of The Answer.
