Next week's themes...

Bryan Burnett | 10:48 UK time, Friday, 13 June 2008

I‘m glad so many folk seemed to enjoy the ‘summer mix ‘ last week. I think we’ve got another one lined up for the second hour of Monday’s show. You too could get your own hour of radio, all you need to do is send me a list of the songs that would take on holiday with you. Leave them on the blog or send an e-mail.

Looking forward to getting your suggestions for this week’s themes, so here we go…

MONDAY

From ‘beers with Clapton’ to ‘white pudding suppers with Noddy Holder’, what happens when Get It On listeners meet the stars? Tonight’s show revisits our ‘celebrity connections' show with some of the best ones we didn’t have time for first time around. There were some brilliant stories so if you missed it last time then make sure you tune in tonight…

TUESDAY

After hearing Springsteen on last week’s show, Ken Reid in North Berwick suggests an 'In-Concert Special' for tonight’s Get It On. Email in your favourite live songs or post a comment on the blog. For me, it would have to be Deacon Blue’s Dignity live at Glasgow Barrowland, with the crowd singing every word and the band standing open mouthed and silent!

WEDNESDAY

Keith in Nether Dallachy suggests ‘artists with the same initials’ for tonight’s show. That could include Lyle Lovett, Desmond Decker and …er…Bryan Burnett! E-mail in with your suggestions…

THURSDAY

Crystal Gale did it in her sleep and Cliff Richard doesn’t do it anymore! Talking is tonight’s theme. That’s songs about talking rather than songs with talking in theme – a theme we have done but should revisit sometime soon. Get in touch with your suggestions and get them on after the news at six…
