Peter Hain on the casting couch
It's a difficult one for a politician: who would play you in the movie of your life?
You don't want to choose someone too good-looking, lest you are convinced of vanity. An actor too celebrated might reveal delusions of grandeur.
Peter Hain, questioned by , opted for Leonardo di Caprio on the grounds that he can do a South African accent.
Mr Hain has an interesting line-up for his dream dinner party - Nelson Mandela, Barack Obama, Frank Lampard, Julie Walters, Lewis Hamilton, Katie Melua, Nicky Wire, Meryl Streep, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Ryan Jones.
That should tick several boxes.His most treasured possesion is photographs of himself with Nelson Mandela. Asked where he would like to live, he offers "Neath Valley, southern Spain and Noordhoek in the Cape all at once."
Plaid Cymru leader Ieuan Wyn Jones has also been asked some unusual questions in recent days. On Ö÷²¥´óÐã3, he was asked if he wanted England to win the World Cup this summer.
The answer, despite Plaid's frequent use of "London" as a derogatory term, was yes. Perhaps the tone was set by Elfyn Llwyd's recent admission: "Some of my best friends are English".
A slight change of emphasis there from the days when Plaid's then sports spokesman could react to England's 2005 Ashes victory with "I am more concerned that the Glamorgan team aren't doing so well this season."
Sadly, the Guardian didn't put the same questions to other Welsh politicians, so we don't know who Roger Williams, Elfyn Llwyd (Gene Hackman?) and Cheryl Gillan (Joanna Lumley/Penelope Keith?) would like to play them on the big screen.
Alternative suggestions for these, and Mr Hain, are most welcome.
