Last week I went to see the amazing Rollo Tomassi playing at Bardens Boudoir in London. They were amazing, and the Sheffield group are on tour with I Was a Cub Scout and This Town Needs Guns - good line up!
William IWACS was on the show last week too, great to have him on, and he played tunes by The Hat, Pictures and Pencil Toes amongst his qulaity choices.
Also got to see School of Language and Sarabeth Tucek playing last week, and . Loads of live music, getting me prepared for tomorrow nights Introducing night on Radio 1! It kicks off at 7pm and has live music from Ting Tings, Pete and the Pirates, late of the Pier, Sam ISaac, Riz MC, Emmy the Great, Tawiah and a whole load of other surprises. Make sure you tune in!

Oi oi boys and girls, wherever you may be.
Eurosonic Festival in Groningen, the Netherlands was on last weekend. We took Reading band Pete & The Pirates with us and the played a brilliant gig out there, with bunting on the stage and the European massive really getting in to them. It's a festival not only for music lovers out there, but also for the European music industry, especially the live side of things.
You can hear all the music from there on tongith's Introducing in England show from midnight, including Pete and the Pirates, and on the 9pm In New Music We Trust Show...
And there's a session from Luke Leighfield - friend of Sam Isaac and recently played his 250th gig. Supported early on by Andrew Marston on the Friday Session - check his blogs below for info on his show

Producer Paul Thomas works at Radio 1, and made a piece of music that was played just before midnight on New Years Eve. Approximately 9million heard it on television and radio. No mean feat! If you were there watching the explosions, you'll now know it was Rob da Bank's producer who made the music you were swaying to. here's a clip from youtube!

Hmm? Of course you do. Well the detials of the Glastonbury Unsigned Competition are out and about and the link you need . I was there for the finasl last year for the selection of the bands who got to play at Glastonbury on loads of different stages, and the quality was very high - a lot of great music and a great competition.
Tomorrow/Tonight from 7, it's the first Friday Session of 2008 - and for the first part of this year, we're celebrating some of our local success stories.
