Hello, I hope all is good. This week's Label of Love is Gwymon.

A Welsh label named after an album by folk legend Meic Stevens, Guto Brychan runs the label (it's part of Sain, the biggest independent label in Wales) and focuses on up and coming folk artists. Recent releases include albums by Huw M and the Gentle Good, and a stunning new ep by Georgia Ruth Williams.

I spoke to Guto about the label, the releases so far and the plans for the future….

Mikill Pane is totally obsessed with clever word play, and it's a passion that has served him well as he brings his lyrically inspired hip-hop jams to the playlist.

Hailing from Hackney, Mikill is best known for Little Lady, his massive selling collaboration with Ed Sheeran. He's just finished tours with both Ed and US rapper Mac Miller, and is gearing up to release his debut album, Blame Miss Barclay, later this year.

Championed by Huw and with artists such as Rizzle Kicks, Yasmin and Example knocking on his door, it looks like he won't be short of people to play Scrabble with.

Black Butter is a fairly new but established label that deals in all things grime, d'n'b, garage and more. It's a singles label mostly, but an album is on the way from one of the artists on the roster, Rack n Ruin. Olly Wood and Henry Village are in charge and are huge music fans who've worked with different projects over the years but are focusing their attentions on Black Butter for now, with releases from Hostage and Kidnap Kid impressive additions to the label....

Eimear and Cheylene from the Wonder Villains only got their A-Level results last summer, yet are now storming the charts with their take on perfectly created, heart-warmingly joyful pop songs.

Along with Ryan and Kieran, they have already supported New Young Pony Club and The Undertones, performed atÌýRadio 1's Big WeekendÌýplus been in session for Huw. Their debut single Zola has received much praise for its feisty vocals and distorted keyboard effects.

What a pleasure to talk to the legendary Gilles Peterson about his label, Brownswood Recordings. Gilles is no stranger to running labels of course, founding Talkin' Loud and Acid Jazz back in the day, as well as djing around the world. Releases on Brownswood include the Ghostpoet album that was Mercury nominated, Ben Westbeech and now Gang Colours. Here's Gilles....
