Monday morning has got off to a beautiful start with this week's tip - Gone Fission by the masterful Fatherson. Mixing heartfelt vocals with commanding guitars, they recall strains of Idlewild and Dashboard Confessional delighting audiences far and wide.

Starting life as Energy!, the band met at school in Kilmarnock and have already supported Feeder, Frightened Rabbit and Elliot Minor, been in session for Introducing's own Ally McCrae, plus played sold out shows at the legendary King Tut's in Glasgow.

2012 holds a debut album, supporting The Xcerts on their Scottish dates, plus appearances at multiple festivals culminating at T in the Park this summer.

The single is released on the Where The Water Meets The Land EP and can be downloaded for freeÌýon from the 7th May. In the meantime, wrap your ears around this certified crowd favourite.

Label of Love time! The Mute label has been constantly eclectic, forward thinking and pushing boundaries since 1979. Richie Hawtin, Nick Cave, Liars, Depeche Mode, Beth Jeans Houghton have and do call the label home.

The man in charge from the beginning is Daniel Miller, and I spoke to him to find out about the beginning, the middle bit, now and the future….

Cut Ribbons are five housemates from Llanelli who fuseÌýcompelling guitars, pounding drums and soaring vocals to produce passionate and powerful indie rock.

After a tour of the UK last November they are hitting the road again at the end of April supporting Dry The River, plus appearing at Brighton's Great Escape festival in May.

A firm favourite of Ö÷²¥´óÐã Introducing in Wales - they have even played a gig in Jen Long's kitchen. Paper Shields is their second single after releasing White Horses through Kissability last year.

Witness the birth of a new genre of music - ladies and gentlemen, this is indiebounce.

The song is Young and Free and the band is PartyClub. These four boys from York are defining the genre and bringing it to the mainstream, heralding the start of a glorious summer full of catchy tunes and cheerful noises.

As their name suggests, PartyClub create songs to make people dance, smile and bop with glee, which Young and Free achieves with bells on. Catch these boys playing various gigs across the UK this summer, where you may too succumb to the infectious charms of indiebounce.

3. Ego - Nuttum Like Back Then

My third track of the month comes from south London Family Tree member . When reviewing Nuttum Like Back Then, I thought it sounded raw, gritty and quite rough around the edges. Production comes courtesy of , with a strong dubstep influence shining throughout and this track definitely has the potential to cause many-a-mosh pit.

My second track of the month comes from one of my favourite rappers around right now, . Hailing from north London, he has risen through the UK rap ranks alongside USG - a rap crew which includes the likes of K Koke, Squingy, etc. On the -produced hip-hop beat, EXO drops some bars to introduce himself to the world. EXO's big character comes through on They Call Me EXO, which is out now!

1. TRACK OF THE MONTH: Teddy Music Feat. Lil Nasty, Double S, Scrufizzer, Dot Rotten, Lady Leshurr & Tre Mission - 'Hoods Up' (Remix)

My number one track this month comes from , whose Newham Generals-assisted track - Doomed - I featured as my No. 1 track back in February. Teddy's new single, Hoods Up, features Ruff Sqwad, Ghetts, Roachee and Stutta on the original, but I personally prefer this remix. , , , , Birmingham's and Canada's all run a lyrical relay race on the energetic grime production, showcasing some skillful styles and flows while they're at it. Bringing some much needed rock to a Tuesday morning, Live Some is the first single taken from the new These Monsters album, Heroic Dose, produced by James Kenosha of Pulled Apart By Horses fame.

The single will be released through Role Model Corporate, a pioneering group of musicians and artists in Leeds modelling the DIY ethos. This collective works as inspiration and support for all the artists involved - managing tours, producing artwork and providing a place to rehearse and record.

These Monsters are founding members of this collective and practise what they preach by giving away the single for free at . When not at RMC, they have been performing various venues across Europe, gaining rave reviews from the likes of Kerrang and Clash Music, plus consuming huge amounts of cheese and wine. This weeks Label of Love is Because Music, home to Django Django, Justice, Soko and Metronomy. It struck me that their roster is ace but little is known about the French label so I spoke to Jane in their London office to find out more....

Seasfire draw on their hometown of Bristol's rich heritage of trip hop and boundary-crossing music to produce melancholy songs full of love and loss.

Combining James Blake-esque beats with the intensity of Burial and the heart-wrenching lyrical sensibilities of Jeff Buckley; Josh, James, Joe and David write songs '...about the dead end relationships they've been in and the general feeling of hopelessness in unemployment - with too much time on their hands and dreaming of escape.'

Debut single Falling has already been played by Rob Da Bank and recently the band did a hauntingly beautiful session for Steve Lamacq at Maida Vale. This is 3am music that deserves around-the-clock attention.
