. What do I do with my life now? I know, wait for the superb people of New Zealand to host what will be an emotional .

It's going to be a long, long summer, as someone no doubt once sung in a song.

So what happened to Scotland in this Six Nations? And who has been the best team in the Six Nations?

First up, I think the Scots came into the competition over-confident. I've been there myself in life, believing that what I have just done successfully means that what I am about to have a go at is easier.

Improving Scotland must avoid Wooden Spoon

Boy oh boy, but the sad thing is that it was gallant failure once more.

I write this at Heathrow airport, talking to , who says Scotland were unlucky.

Hand on heart, that was the best Scottish performance at Twickenham I have seen. So can Scotland beat Italy?

In fact, do we have to beat Italy to rescue a season?

Time for pro teams to help Scotland's cause

How can Scotland beat England on Sunday? Scotland, of course, are led by , who, I suspect, will get a very respectful return to base from the England fans.

As I write this, the team hasn't been picked but, in all probability, most of the players in Robinson's side will have been born after the last victory, 1983.

Being the eternal optimist, I think the game is winnable, but I say that while believing that this is .
