The Sun - Basking, in bathos, leading for the fourth day in a row on the āis it or isnāt it?ā story about a Great White (or multiples thereof) off the coast of Cornwall.
The Daily Star - Blue, thanks chiefly to a picture of āLucy - So hot all her clothes are offā.
The Daily Express - Those Pathetic (cf ). Yet another Diana yarn.
The Metro - Nurse (in lieu of the yet-to-be-discovered Doctor shark). A surgeon has won a five-year legal battle costing Ā£5m to get his job back.
The Guardian - Hammerhead. The dayās only real heavyweight exclusive, suggesting the Independent Police Complaints Commission will heavily criticise one of the Metropolitan Policeās most senior officers when it issues its report into the shooting of Jean Charles de Menezes tomorrow.
The Independent - Carpet. The only paper to cover its entire front page with one story, in this case the momentous news that almost 30 years after the fall of the feared Khmer Rouge regime in Cambodia, the first alleged perpetrator has been charged.
The Scotsman - Loan. Thatās what weāll all need if its lead story about food prices rising sharply because of the summer floods comes to pass.
Alas, still no sight of a Great White.
