"Male homosexuals are to be free to enjoy themselves going to Kylie concerts, drinking exotically-coloured cocktails and talking about boys with their straight female mates" - Supreme Court judge Lord Rodger on why gay and lesbian asylum seekers should be given the right to stay in the UK.
The ruling overturns a Ö÷²¥´óÐã Office policy of refusing asylum to those persecuted by homophobic regimes on the grounds that they could just pretend to be straight. But Lord Rodger said gays and lesbians should be able to be themselves "just as male heterosexuals are free to enjoy themselves playing rugby, drinking beer and talking about girls with their mates".
