FRIDAY

Running until Sunday, Taurus Crafts in Cirencester are putting on Halloween Themed children's activates daily from 10am.

If you're interested there's a Lady GaGa tribute act at Forest Green Rovers tonight. Even starts at 5pm with tickets costing £12.

The Wurzels are at the Gloucester Guildhall tonight at 7.30pm. Tickets still available at £13.50.

SATURDAY

Enjoy Halloween at Primrose Vale. There's a range of pumpkins to pick from plus a Halloween hunt for all the family. That's at the farm just off the Shurdington Road near Bentham. Saturday - Monday from 10am til 4am.

There's also a Halloween pumpkin trail at Puzzlewood. That's on until Sunday 10am til 5pm daily.

Perrygrove Railway in Coleford is celebrating Halloween with a train ride through the witches' wood. There's also a treasure hunt. That's Saturday and Sunday from 10.30am. Last train at 3.45pm.

SUNDAY

The Crescendo Big Band is in concert in Tewkesbury at the Gupshill Manor. They'll be there Sunday, doors open at 7pm and tickets are £8. Final show this sunday

In aid of Cancer Research UK and starting and finishing at The Speech House, the annual Pink PJ 10k Plod will walk through the Forest of Dean. That starts at 11am.

Joseph is on at the Everyman Theatre in Cheltenham at the moment. Final shows are on Sunday at 1.30pm and 4.30pm. Ticket prices vary.

"Hi Mark - The best way to Bristol Airport from most of the county is:

M5 to Junction 19 (Portishead)
Get off and take the A369 left for 200 metres towards Abbots Leigh
Turn right and go through Portbury village and up the hill to the B3218 junction at Failand
Turn left, and go about a mile towards Bristol
Turn right down the B3129 until you get to the A370 junction
Turn left and go through Flax Bourton, and after the village ignore the signs to the airport, going under the A370
Go straight on through Barrow Gurney
When you reach the A38 junction, turn right and go up the hill to the airport

I have done this journey regularly from Gloucester to Bristol airport (my airport of choice) and it avoids Bristol city centre, and is never congested."

I'm back and this morning I was asked to recommend the quickest route to Bristol Airport after my recent travels. I go for the cross city A38 route but after this morning's show I might have to change my mind!

So the end of a packed week on my first run of Breakfast Shows on Ö÷²¥´óÐã Radio Gloucestershire filling in for Mark Cummings, and what a great welcome you've all given me...

On Monday I was asking you what makes you misty eyed?...

Why?...because enthusiasts were gathering at a pace at a ship restoration project in Gloucester in preparation for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations next year.

A 65 foot Second World War fire fighting boat is being transformed at the docks.

On Tuesday, you also had a thing or two to say about calls to upgrade Junction 10 on the M5 Motorway to full north and southbound access whilst the bridge over the motorway is closed for a YEAR.

Local businesses are supporting an online petition calling on the agency to use the planned closure of the A4019 in March as a chance to open access to the junction.

From Highways to homes, with 25 million unoccupied bedrooms in British homes the group - the intergenerational foundation - launched a campaign on Wednesday to encourage the government to make it easier for people to downsize their homes - as well as to rent out their spare rooms. Sandra in Brockworth made a good point. She lives in Brockworth on her own in a three bedroom house and altough she would be interested in renting out one of her rooms she feels she might be vulnerable.

Thursday and it was the price of heating oil that got you boiling...In the last ten years the price has more than DOUBLED. And as the cold weather returns a campaign launched to try and avoid last year's supply problems...by getting customers to stock up EARLY this time.

But many people listening to Ö÷²¥´óÐã Radio Gloucestershire said even if they fill their tanks up now, it won't last the winter anyway!

Plus, love it or hate it Junk Mail is here to stay. An average of 453 pieces of junk mail are coming through our letterboxes every year and you had some great suggestions for cutting down on it

On Friday 21st October, the news was of course dominated by the news that Colonel Gaddafi was killed in Libya. We had a powerful reaction from Zaina Ahmed who is a Libyan PHD student at the University of Gloucestershire who was up all night
speaking to her family and friends in Tripoli

And on a lighter note, we discovered that the price of stamps are going up again so we decided to launch an experiment. I'm sending two postcards to Claire Carter's parents in Kent, one with a First Class Stamp, the other a Second Class. The question is which one will get there first. We'll find out!...

A campaign's been launched to encourage anyone worried they may be developing the early signs of dementia to start jotting down their memories.

The 'Write it Down' project has been set up by June Hennell, from Carers Gloucestershire, whose husband Brian was diagnosed with dementia in 2009.

Recording the details of things which sufferers are forgetting should help GPs with diagnosing what might be wrong.

More help is available from the GL11 Community Project, Fairmead, Cam, Dursley - or if you want to talk to someone, you can call the Managing Memory Service on 0800 694 8800.

Look out for a Hollywood star at Stroud Railway Station this Thursday morning...and if you are lucky you might spot TV Burp's Harry Hill too!

My partner in crime on The Breakfast Show Claire Carter has been told she bears a striking resemblance to one of the most beautiful women in the movie industry...and my mate Chris Baxter who presents the show after me does have a frightening similarity to Harry Hill.
