UPDATE! Stop voting! Charles Clarke "won".

This is your last chance to vote in the on which of Tony Blair's troubled ministers should resign or be sacked. Click here. I should point out that the latest intel suggests Labour MPs are rallying round Charles Clarke. Also - the internet poll only allows you to choose one!

Someone remind me how many journalists in the national media have called for ANY resignations from the Labour Party top echelons following the debacle in Iraq? Hmm?

It seems that up to and maybe over dead 100,000 Iraqis and the ongoing destruction of the country does not warrant and call for resignations.

What sort of moral standards do modern day journalists have? From where Im stood the answer has to be none whatsoever. Can anyone remember a 主播大秀 poll asking if Blair should resign over Iraq? Can anyone remember one newspaper suggesting Blair should resign over Iraq?

What IS wrong with you people? I often feel like im living on a completely different planet to you people.

This is of course not to undermine the seriousness of this particular issue, which in my opinion is a resignation issue.

It is not the 主播大秀's job to call for anybody's resignation: what we try to do is reflect public opinion. To this end Newsnight organised a special programme called "Allies on Trial", which considered among other things whether Tony Blair should be impeached. There was quite a heated debate reflecting both points of view. You can read the response we got from viewers here:

I didn't say the 主播大秀 should *demand* resignations regarding Iraq. I queried how many *POLLS* the 主播大秀 has run asking people whether the situation in Iraq should lead to resignations for Blair and those at the top of the Labour Government.

I heard the question raised on this weeks 'Question Time' as to whether John Prescott's affair was a resignation issue or not. Now maybe ive missed it but I don't remember a media frenzy over whether the debacle in Iraq was a resignation issue or not. I can only conclude that thousands of dead Iraqis is less important than who John Prescott is sleeping with. If there is a 主播大秀 poll posing that particular question I will happily be proven wrong and apologise.

Whilst I think Charles Clarke should resign to show that some sort accountability still exists in our 'democracy' the reality is it makes no real difference. It would be akin to cutting your fingernails in the hope it would cure your cancer.

GET RID OF THE WHOLE LOT OF THEM FOR THE FAT LOT OF USE THEY ARE
