On one hand it may be good to introduce those not used to reading to these classics, but those who are not used to reading are not gonna be taught the discipline of concentration.

Sorry but this programme was heinous worst piece of telly I have seen in a long time and that includes ITV, it is sad because the 主播大秀 do so few Arts programmes, but someone needs to rescue this, because this format is no longer working.
Paul Morley was on that programme from the onset nearly 20 years ago sorry, but I as a licence fee payer i would like to see some fresh faces or is this too much to ask ?

What on earth is going on when this programme chooses to review The Arctic Monkeys in its music section? Great new albums such as that by Porcupine Tree might stretch the discussion a good deal more, but then there would be no place for the fawning, sycophantic, pretentious babbling of John Harris. What about other musical genres? It is all so lame and predictable, giving credence to the latest two album wonders to follow on from The Strokes, Franz Ferdinand et al, before disappearing forever. It is the equivalent of choosing to review kid's books in the literature section, because that's what this is, kid's music! Please, more imagination, and less of opinionated fools like John Harris: His constant references to The Office in discussing the Orion abridged classic novels would have been funny if it were not so utterly unfunny and tragic: What a frame of reference, everything in terms of popular culture, no matter what the subject matter! It is a shame to mar an otherwise enlightening and enjoyable show in this way.
