On your marks

Standing by to enter the Ö÷²¥´óÐã's Studio 7 for what feels like the rest of my life. I will emerge at 6am having consumed gallons of caffeine and many bunches of bananas. I spent the day mugging up on Bolton, Blaenau, Bournemouth and the rest.

Let's hope I can remember some of it come the early hours.

Dear Nick,
Thanks for making the long haul. I'll be staying awake to listen to R4 and Radio 5 Live. But one plea...because Birmingham is always late to count it never seems to get a proper mention on these nights. The Conservatives need to take a mere handful of seats (nett) from the others to become the largest party on the Council (NOC). Could we have a bit of comment on Birmingham this time.

Regards, Tony

Yes, I remember your infamous posts about how to eat a camera off screen last year. Still, the way I see it, elections like these are the equivalent of doing what us students refer to as an "all-nighter".

It seems the above post I made has been edited. If bunches of bananas is what we shall refer to the famous bar as, then so be it.

Dear Nick,
Just to let you know that we're doing the election shift at The Bath Chronicle, and it sounds like we've got a much better food spread on than you - forget the bananas and coffee, it's wraps, baps, scotch eggs, bucks fizz and choccie biccies. We'll save you a BLT if you fancy popping down.
love the subs
