Michael Buchanan, in Dubai, writes for the Blog: "Could this propeller be the reason that 5 british sailors are in captivity in Iran. According to the general manager of the Dubai Offshore Sailing Club, the British crew phoned him last Wednesday to say their propeller had broken. He duly bought them this new one but they never turned up to collect it. Without a propeller, he reckons they may have drifted inadvertenly in currents towards some Iranian oil and gas installations."

Michael will report for us tonight.
