This morning I set off for the trig point on the Blorenge mountain, a peak that's bang in between Conservative and Labour territory, just before the snow closed in and the cameraman's fingers froze. You won't mind the bobble hat, he assured me, given the blizzard conditions we encountered at the top.

Yesterday I was filming in Castell Newydd or Newcastle Castle in Bridgend, apparently the western most point of the Norman invasion into South Wales.
