For a man in charge of Britain鈥檚 most high-profile squad at the country鈥檚 biggest ever sporting spectacle, Charles van Commenee cuts a commendably cool figure.

鈥淚鈥檓 quite relaxed now,鈥� he says, perched on a stool in the athletes鈥� lounge at Lee Valley High Performance Centre. 鈥�99% of the work is done, so I鈥檓 of quite a peaceful mind.鈥�
