Tonight鈥檚 guest is Holly McIntosh who goes by the musical moniker of Mouse Deer - who describes the inspiration for her songwriting as 鈥渃oming of age in a run-down seaside town fuelled by heartaches, hope, escapism, old LPs and cups of tea鈥ouching on themes of disappointment, determination, frustration and freedom.鈥 We're delighted to hear the newest creation from musician Lee Midwinter who we first heard from back in 2008 - now working with his cake-baking, tea-drinking buddies under the collective name of name of Undeciders. Wonder how they agreed on that one? This weekend's live session tracks were delivered the length of the M40 by Andrew Marston鈥檚 主播大秀 Introducing in Hereford & Worcester.听 Tonight we feature live acoustic tracks by Dan Scott (from Daniel & The Scandals) accompanied by Rhian Frith (from Hereford band The Fiction) on backing vocals and glockenspiel.

My interview with the London band as visually reimagined by... erm, the London band Raven Beats Crow. This might be a good moment to mention they'll be releasing another deranged single soon called "Second Floor" - but you don't have to wait, you can hear it streaming .

I first discovered the music of tonight's guests thanks to NowPlaying@6Music, where Boaz from the blog first recommended them to us as听 "an angular East London outfit whose debut EP was a real joy, celebrating and lamenting life in the capital. More hooks on board than a fishing boat." They've since kept us entertained by their - and as to who does what, within the band, well: Andrew (Hutson) packs a beat, Thom (Wicks) nails the groove and writes the blog, Marek (Bereza) strums & picks, while Kenny (Wastell) serenades... Andrew, Thom and Kenny joined us for a chat about their outstanding selftitled debut EP , and they told us work is proceeding apace - in a new, grander setting - on the followup.

Tonight's guest ranks alongside as the one of the most extraordinary exponents of Wall-Of-Sound acoustic guitar its ever been my pleasure to encounter. He's living proof that being a solo songwriter doesn't have to mean safe predictable arrangements, dull mid-tempo fingerpicking and heartfelt inaudible warbling about the pain in one's soul. He's playing a nine-date tour in March to support - the incidendiary new single from his album . Born Barry Dolan, he's known to the world of independent music as and he joined me in conversation for today's show.

What a pleasant surprise it was to meet today's guest Adam Karayiannis - aka The Adamski Kid. He turns out to have been the frontman with former show favourites The Dirty Disco who brought us such in-your-face classics as White Room, Sista! and RetroseXXXual. No wonder then that Adam's new musical identiry embodies such stylish swagger and confidence. Having given us a funny and fascinating interview, he stepped into the 6 Music hub with me for a photo, which is where the fun really began. The Mighty Boosh would have been proud of our posturing. The Adamski Kid makes his live debut in Guildford at the end of March.

Our guest in todays's show was rising Birmingham rap star Romo - who knew he wanted to work as a musican from age 8. By a stroke of luck his mother herself is a Soul/R&B vocalist so instead of the standard "when are you going to get a proper job" response most aspiring artists get from their parents, she encouraged Romo every step of the way. His track "Get Mine" which we played during the interview pretty much tells the story of his career to date. He not only writes, sings, produces and acts but also contributes to local projects encouraging musical creativity in schools. Romo was picked as 2011 Rapper Of The Year by Birmingham's Talent project and a debut album is in the pipeline for this year.听
