We brought you the sad news this morning that Sir Bobby Robson had died following a long battle with cancer. You've been paying your tributes to him this morning. Here are some of the texts you've sent us:
"Bobby Robson signed me at fulham as a 15-year-old in 1968. He came to see my parents and just stayed for hours. I did not make the grade but he always made sure I was ok even after he left. A true gent who will be missed. Dave B"
"I have been an Ipswich Town fan all my life. I was a child during his time there and I met him once when I was 10. I am genuinely moved to tears at this loss, he was my hero. Mark in Beccles, Suffolk. "

"Me and a group of 12 ladies were at a Tynemouth hotel three years ago having lunch when Bobby and two guests arrived. He came over, chatted, asked us how the food was and was so lovely.
