North Wales deputy chief constable today called on England fans in Wales to stop waving their flags of St George in the faces of everyone else.

He warned in an interview with today's Good Morning Wales (listen again) that flying the England flag from cars in Wales was likely to cause offence with Welsh people.

There has been mixed reaction to the comments of Mr Wolfendale - never far from the headlines himself (try searching his name on ).

But here in NE Wales the flag waving has become a sore point between Welsh football fans who won't be supporting England and those 'festooning' their cars in the red and white flag of St George - especially as the World Cup hasn't even started!

By the way, football fans in this part of the world will probably be rooting for . For defender is a hero of the team.

And if not Trinidad and Tobago then what about and as there are big communties of Polish and Portuguese people living and working in the Wrexham area?

Who will you be shouting for at this World Cup - and will you be using a flag?
