Picture the scene, a bedraggled bunch of wannabe popstars turn up on the doorstep of your hotel and offer to perform a gig for customers. They look nothing special and, as it's early 1960s, their name doesn't yet mean anything to you.

Fast forward a few years and think again. If only the Beatles had caught you in a better mood that night!

Brent has been in touch to share a family tale of that night when the band crossed Rhyl's Foryd Bridge to The Clwyd Hotel (now The Harbour) and asked his dad, Haydn Davies, to put on cabaret for some extra work while in the area.

"But dad being dad turned them away saying 'I'm not having long haired yobos like that in my pub!' Oh if he only knew," says Brent.
