Teenage abortion rates revealed

Wrexham no longer has the unappealing title of teenage abortion capital of Wales - that tag now belongs to Conwy, according to today's .

The number of abortions carried out last year on under 18s in Wrexham was 11.3 per cent and the same for Flintshire with 11 per cent in Denbighshire. In Cardiff the figure was 8 per cent with Swansea at 11.6 per cent. Conwy was had the highest number with more than 15 per cent of the total number of abortions being carried out on under 18s.
