North Wales Chief Constable is currently one of the most controversial senior police officers in the UK. Brunstrom has, without doubt, caused his fair share of controversy over the years, frequently appearing in the headlines of both the Welsh and national media.

Most recently, his calls on the government to legalise all drugs has once again whipped the press into frenzy and put him directly in the firing line.

Ö÷²¥´óÐã Wales’s cameras have been given exclusive access to the top cop and in The Chief viewers will get a rare insight into the man behind the public image of the so-called ‘Mad Mullah of the Traffic Taliban’.

Producer and presenter David Williams was given exclusive access over a period of several months. The time he spent with Brunstrom turned out to be a roller coaster ride in the back seat with the Chief driving the agenda.

The programme also follows Brunstrom as he goes about his day-to-day business - patrolling the North Wales roads for law breakers, to the nation, discussing the National Assembly for Wales elections, venting his frustration on a wide range of topics with his deputy and much more.

The cameras also capture reaction at the in which Brunstrom used pictures of a decapitated motorbike driver, without the permission of the family.

What was intended to be a method of highlighting the full horrors of speeding quickly turned into a headline story for all the wrong reasons. Cameras capture the moment he unsuspectedly walks into another ferocious hornets’ nest of controversy. The cameras are also there the afternoon following the presentation and viewers will see how Chief Constable Brunstrom is blissfully unaware that all hell is about to break loose.

So, that's the scene set. Will you be watching?
