Contributor Susan Jones mailed us to say the new Owain Glyndwr statue is being unveiled tomorrow night in a special lighting ceremony with a celebration in Welsh and English with free refreshments and entertainment in the pubs in town.

The church service starts at 7pm with the procession from the church at 7.45pm. The procession will be a band followed by a children's choir and the Glyndwr Ladies Choir.

Susan says: "I think the grand 'lighting' of the statue will be at 8pm. There are Welsh/local bands in the Owain Glyndwr hotel and Eagles pub with free sandwiches and soft drinks."
