The image used for the branding of tomorrow's in London has stirred up a debate in the blogosphere. We did not use the image on this blog as it did not fit our house style, but you can find it on the run by organisers The Media Center, a US think tank.
The image is of an Arab woman holding up an ink-stained finger. On his Salam Adil, an Iraqi living in London, questions the use of the photo. In a thoughtful analysis he decontructs the image, asking if the photograph was staged and questioning its authenticity.
Whether or not he is right, it highlights how delicate the issue of trust is. As he concludes: "If you can't trust this image - how can you trust the media?"

How can you trust the media? Easy answer; you can't. Mainstream media sources such as 主播大秀 and Sky are so terrified of the truth that they refuse to allow unmoderated forums. That's all you need to know about the media, right there. You want us to start to trust you? Stop lying and cherry picking information. It's that easy. Sadly, it isn't going to happen - you're all in the pocket of someone who dictates your agenda.

Nothing appears as it may seem anymore. The bigwigs hold their tongues to speak the truth, in fear of being censored and sued. This is the age of the little people who are out to destroy the establishment. You can see it everywhere: piracy, reality shows and the blogosphere. This is like a richochet of capitalism.

Whether the image is staged or otherwise is, of course, entirely irrelevant.
The 主播大秀 showed many such images during the Iraqi elections. The symbolism of the image is the only thing that counts.
This selectivity of the 主播大秀 answers the question of the breakdown of trust in the mainstream news media.

I think media freedom is a valuable thing to a reasonable freedom speech.Un less some silly person or groups miss used the internet, and use their own purpose but that will not be un usuall because media ist self it is been provided to be use as the service of indivitual aim.many times america russia and united kingdom use this media to spraed their onw innovations base on interest idealogy. therefore, now the freedom of speech has reached it is highest point so let it be.
