Morning bloggers, as i'm sure you've been reading this morning the Israeli army are pushing deeper into after the cabinet agrees to widen its ground offensive. This effectively ends any international hopes for an immediate ceasefire. News is also just coming in that 3 Israeli soldiers have been killed, we'll have more for you later on. We're about to have our meeting but just quickly, where should today's focus be? Is it about time...

...America used it's sizable influence to stop the fighting? Or should we discuss the changing tide of international opinion towards Israel? There's also been a stepping up of international pressure to end the conflict. EU president, Finland, called Israel's ground offensive "unacceptable". Finally there's the humanitarian line that could be explored. Some charities are saying that Israelis are making the rescue effort very difficult by not cooperating with them.

According to the Marxist, Her Doktor Schutte, "in the future all men will be able to smoke Havanas". This future may well be up on us as Fidel Castro has, all be it temporarily, because of illness. This is the first time he's relinquished power since he became Cuba's leader in 1959. We want to hear reactions from Cubans in Cuba, America and across the world. Will this mean many Cubans living abroad returning home? What will happen to Cuba without Castro? You can also add your comments

I can't see much else making the show today, but if there is we'll keep you posted.
