Lebanon, Israel and Sri Lanka

Israelis and Lebanese are on the move again today. Israel has that its operations in their region are set to increase. Meanwhile, on the other side of the border, Israel is planning to from the northern town of Kiryat Shmona. Language and telephone lines allowing, we're going to speak to some of those on the move. We're also going to try to hear from Sri Lankans both in Sri Lanka and Lebanon. It's estimated that tens of thousands of Sri Lankans who work in Lebanon are stranded there. Some have , and there are to help others leave. Our colleagues in the Ö÷²¥´óÐã's Sinhala Service are going to translate some of the emails they’ve been receiving. If you have relatives stuck in Lebanon (and I don't just mean Sri Lankans) and think they would be interested in sharing their experiences, please do let us know.
The other reason we're going to be speaking to Sri Lankans is to get their reaction to the discovery this weekend of 15 murdered aid workers in the north-east of the country. They all worked for , and today the organisation is saying have been found dead. As well as this, as if to emphasise the troubles facing Sri Lanka at the moment, in the past few hours has killed at least two people in the capital Colombo. We're hoping to hear the concerns of international aid workers still working there and some of those they are trying to help. The deaths of the AAH staff clearly throws up questions about whether aid agencies will be happy to continue operating in Sri Lanka.
