What do you want to talk about?

Priya Shah | 09:55 UK time, Friday, 22 September 2006

Good Morning! This is the daily call for any ideas of what you would like us to discuss on todays's programme. What stories and events have caught your eye? Please let us know.

At any rate, we definitely want to talk about violence in South Africa...

After the murder of Jabulani Mlangeni, a friend of the programme and a talented reporter for the Sowetan community radio Jozi FM, we decided to take a look at violence and crime in South Africa - how does it affect the way people see their home country and society?

We will also look at one of issues Jabu himself had raised: that the international media do not report fairly on South African violence, and ultimately this makes South Africa look worse than it actually is. In light of his killing, would you still agree with his original argument? Is his death, or the manner of his death, representative of the situation in South Africa?
