Morning everyone. Peter has asked me to make clear as soon as possible that it is not him writing this blog today. It is infact Madeleine - I'll be presenting the show. Peter's clearly worried that my standard of blogging isn't up to his. We'll see.

Apologies for no morning post, but it's Christmas skeleton staff here. And speaking of Christmas, it's going to be a funny old one this year with all sorts of disrupting our normal winter activities. Are things slightly wacky where you are? Get in touch to let us know.

In Britain this week there's been news that an , who is suffering from a rare form of cancer, has told her parents she no longer wants painful radiotherapy treatment, but her doctors say she must continue to have it. If follows on from the case of , a 16-year old who has decided to allow her cancer to take its course and enjoy her remaining months or years without the pain of chemotherapy.
At what age should children be able to decide if they should live or die? If you have a personal story or an opinion, get in touch.

We'll also be looking at the comments of Rep. , a Republican Representative from Virginia. In a letter to constituents he said called for strict immigrations policies to stop an influx of Muslims and "preserve the values and beliefs traditional to the United States of America."
