Emm in Baltimore

I am originally from Hanover, New Hampshire but have spent most of my life in Baltimore, Maryland--which I like because we get all four seasons, and it's within a day's drive of Washington D.C., the Chesapeake Bay & Atlantic Ocean, as well as the Green Ridge Mountains.
Baltimore is also supportive of many of the arts. I am a poet (disguised as a study coordinator for a medical device company) so I love to write and read. I'm a closet ornithologist. I like art. I love history. I like petrology and other Earth Sciences.
I discovered WHYS and am hooked - I love hearing other people's perspectives and opinions on things. I think communication brings about understanding (although not always agreement!). It frustrates me when one idea leads to 10,000 more I'd like to hear about or say something about - but that bodes well for the show I suppose!
My interests are wide... but I especially enjoy relationships - if that means how one country relates to another, or one religion with another, or different sexes, races, political affiliations, or simply one person with another... It's a big and fascinating world!
