We had a lot of callers from Somalia on yesterday's show when we touched on this topic. Tonight we'll try and get back to all of them (Somalia's dodgy phone lines permitting) and we'll try and explore the conventions and precedents surrounding one country attacking a terror cell inside another country's borders.

Michael in Kenya: Air Strikes in Somalia
Mike says this is still playing strongly in the Horn of Africa. Strikes are still ongoing and we at WHYS know from last night's prog that this is a strong talking point. The boss says "people are still talking about it but is there another angle?" This is looking like a good candidate. The Boss wants to know if there's someone in Kenya who can talk about the legalities and conventions of war and pre-emptive stikes - it's a job for our heavyweight producer Kaloki.

Christiana: The Energy Revolution
Europe is calling for coordinated action on energy issues. The European Commission has unveiled a new , calling on member states to cut emissions of greenhouse gases by at least 20% by 2020. This story encompasses issues of global warming and the Russian pipeline crisis. it's definitely a goer. Some folks in Daimler Chrysler are . This story has the legs to go the whole 12 rounds.

We'll also be looking ahead to Bush's speech on Iraq. It's being talked about lots already, been leaked heavily across the media and we'll be hooking up with a few of our partner stations in the US to find out how it's playing.

The Boss is adamant we'll do this story tomorrow but will we do it tonight at 6pm GMT which is 6 hours before the Pres is due to speak in Washington (9pm EST)? Richard is keen for us to do it tonight but opinion is split - there are a number of other stories out there that could provide WHYS with some great talking points. Rabs and Deborah are keen to canvass opinion from our partner stations in the US: WDET and WCPN to name jjust two.

Deborah: Molly Misbah
Molly Campbell, aka Misbah, was the Scottish teen who ran away back to Pakistan to be with her father. Her mother up in the Isle of Lewis has dropped the case and nobody seems to know why. This story didn't even get past the first round - the boss delivered a fatal left hook and it went down like a sack of spuds.

Paul: Paparazzi
Should the press lay off Prince William's girlfriend Kate Middleton bearing in mind what happened to Princess Diana? A major news group said yesterday it would not buy photographs of Kate from the paparazzi. The boss likes it but feels on a day like this it would sit uneasily with the bigger, more serious stories. This story is on the ropes and is battling but it's just received a knockout punch.
