What do they know about you?

Ros Atkins Ros Atkins | 13:55 UK time, Wednesday, 31 January 2007

How much should the authorities know about you?

The US government wants access to information about , including bank transactions, past flight information and where you sat.

Washington says access to international bank transactions and passenger records is essential for its war on terror - European MEPs say it breaches European privacy rules.

Is the war on terror a sufficient reason to have this information?

We'd like to hear from you.

Perhaps you don't give out any sort of personal information at all. Or do you think if you have nothing to hide, you have nothing to fear? This outlines the data required by the US

Co-operation

The German government have to thirteen CIA agents alledged to have kidnapped German citizen, Khaled al-Masri. Mr Masri says he was seized in Macedonia, flown to a secret prison in Afghanistan and mistreated there in line with US practices of 'extraordinary rendition'.

The warrants aren't valid in America but should the US co-operate with the German government? Or are they justified in protecting their own citizens just as Germany is trying to protect theirs?

Don't stone women

...or circumcise them. This are part of a Canadian on culture that Muslims have branded shocking and insulting.

Offensive and racist? Or just a set of clear and logical rules so everyone knows where they stand?
