I am a musician and songwriter and I am heavily opposed to censorship, but I don't think so-called-artists should be rewarded for recycling the same tired image. Ken in cleveland
Russ has emailed to say...I am a musician and I can't help getting infuriated when ever I hear the hate, misogyny, the "Oh Poor Me attitude," the promotion of violence and drugs and the out right bigotry that so often is imbedded in Hip Hop music.
It is disgusting the way hip-hop has glorified the degradation of women. And what's even MORE appalling is how many women dance to, buy and sing along to the most insulting of the music. THEN, accept and even seek-out men who treat them this way. Danielle

Steve in virginia says I don't think anyone forces women at gunpoint to be in the music videos for the songs in question. Maybe women, if they have a problem with such lyrics, shouldn't appear in the videos?
