Short people - the fight back

I read an article in the Ghanaian Times with disbelief today. They’d reprinted by the Ö÷²¥´óÐã’s Francis Ngwa Niba in Cameroon. I’ve since found it on and judging by the messages at the bottom of Francis’ article I have been underestimating the issue.
It really is worth reading from beginning to end...
The jist of it is that short people in Bamenda, north-western Cameroon, are joining together to campaign for an end to what they say is discrimination by their taller compatriots. They say they are treated like second-class citizens, and can’t sit on chairs comfortably or read billboards without hurting their necks. They have even set up the Association of Short People in Cameroon (ASPC).
Cameroon may be four countries down the coast from here, but it’s not too far away and this may be an issue here in Ghana. I will be sounding out the shorter people I meet today to see if we should talk about this on tomorrow’s show.
With, shall we say, a broad range of heights in the WHYS team, can it be long before those of us who live a little closer to the ground rise up and revolt?
