PARIS HILTON IS NOT MY LEAD!
I love this story. It's the and quite right too. MSNBC host Mika Brzezinski was so infuriated that Paris Hilton's release from prison was her lead news story, that she refused to read it, then tried to burn her script and then shredded it. I mean who has both a lighter and a shredder close to hand in the studio? Whether you agree with her on not, you've got to admire her putting it all on the line. I can only imagine what'd become of me if I tried a similar trick.
We're receiving A LOT of emails on this. Will in Wales... 'Well Done Ms Brzezinski! I'm glad someone has the guts to stand up to the mind rotting cult of celebrity foisted on us by media moguls.' J in Tampa... 'Why should anyone care about Iraq or Afghanistan? Just because we have thousands of soldiers there and people are being killed does not make it more important than Paris Hilton. After all, people are killed there every day, but how often is Paris Hilton released from jail?' I'll let you reply...
HAS THE US SUPREME COURT HELPED AMERICA'S RACE RELATIONS?
Sarah in New York emailed me at the end of yesterday's show and said 'I was hoping we could speak about the US Supreme Courts . I think it could get a wide range of opinions.' Judging by the emails that are pouring into the Ö÷²¥´óÐã, I'd say you're right Sarah.
DO NATIVE CANADIANS HAVE GOOD REASON TO PROTEST?
The 1 July National Day long weekend may kick off tomorrow in Canada, but it's not going to be so easy to get away because native Canadians several key railways and roads to protest at unresolved land claims and the poor living conditions. Do they have a point, and if you're in Canada, do you mind being inconvenienced?

WHAT YOU DO WHEN WE'RE ON AIR
Jared in Kampala wrote in yesterday. 'I listen to WHYS at 9pm after long day's business. At this time, I turn the volume of the radio to a reasonable level and chew my supper gently so as not to generate a high sound from my crushing teeth. I have encouraged my cousin to listen with me and even continue with the discussion when the program is over.'
