We are now podcasting.....

Mark Sandell Mark Sandell | 10:43 UK time, Monday, 20 August 2007

Well, Anna is our podcast supremo and only she holds the golden knowledge. She has kindly agreed to train everyone else up today and will post here later. We've already had an e-mail froma listener in Australia who is very glad he doesn't have to stay up until 3.30 in the morning to hear us. I yield to no-one in my admiration of people who manage to beat the odds to hear us and i consider Lubna and Abdelilla to be like friends even though i've never met them, but i am always bowled over by our Aussie listeners.

We appeared on Over To You at the weekend , and it includes a background piece on the day we did Green Street to discuss partition. What did you think of us getting out of the office last week ?. I hope it added a bit of colour to the programme and got us some voices we may not have got if we'd stayed in the "comfort" of the studio.
Jimmy is working on a very ambitious 4-way simulcast on Friday, and Fiona is putting together our trip to South Africa in October when we'll be carried on the national broadcaster there, , again she'll blog separately about it but nothing stands still on WHYS. Tommy (or Martin as he's known to you ) is also preparing a trip to Namibia for a WHYS from the conference
Though sadly, many of my team will be spending time on other shows as part of the news department's drive to get other programmes to be a bit more interactive. Can't say i'm impressed to be losing (temporarily) the likes of Rabsy and Fiona but there you go...
