Why is President Obama so unpopular ?

teapartypic.jpgAccording to the latest polls, 51 per cent of Americans would like to see a Republican Congress elected in November - and just 13 per cent say the President's economic plan has helped them personally.

A Washington Post/ABC News poll found 6 in ten Americans lacked faith in Mr Obama's ability to make for the country.

44 per cent of Americans of his handling of the war in Afghanistan.
And one other stat : 73 per cent stance on banning deepwater oil drilling in reponse to the BP disaster.


So what's going on ? Ok, the picture above was put up by a few Tea Party activists and had to be taken down, but why has Obama lost ground with "average" Americans ?

Some blame the global recession, others the amazingly high hopes invested in him.
