steve.jpg This is Steve Slater, and he's a hero on. Why? Well most of his fans say it's because Steve was a flight attendant on Jetblue Airlines until Monday. He dramatically quit his job after a rude passenger abused him on board while the plane was at JFK. Apparently, a female passenger went to take her bag down when passengers were still supposed to be in their seats, and when confronted, hit Steve on the head with her case. She verbally abused him too. It was the final straw for Steve.
He has been bailed out of jail for $2500 and is now facing potentially 7 years in jail for 'criminal mischief' and 'criminal endangerment' Should he be punished or lauded? Here's a common refrain on his Facebook page from Mike B
Awesome man, would have done the same, hope it brings you fame and fortune, know what you went thru, dont blame you for a minute. And the memory of voicing yourself will be a happy one the rest of your life. GREAT EXIT. hope you enjoyed the beers
. One other case also in the news today, but the jury is still out whether . Office worker 'Jenny' quit and by outing his unproductive work habits (playing hours of Farmville for example) by writing messages on dry-erase boards and then photographing and mailing them around to 20 other employees. to the photos. Have you ever quit a job in spectacular fashion? Do you think Steve Slater is to be praised or punished?
