On Air: Is it wrong for Afghanistan to take cash from Iran?

Afghan President Hamid Karzai responded to Saturday's that said Iran is giving Afghanistan bags of cash.
President Karzai admitted yesterday that he regularly receives millions of dollars from the Iranian government, he also said 'we are grateful to the Iranians' and that 'patriotism has a price'. The money is small potatoes compared to the hundreds of billions of dollars given by the United States to Afghanistan.
NATO officials say that Iran is paying for, arming and training Taliban fighters, as well as financing political candidates in the parliamentary elections. President Karzai said Iran 'have asked for good relations in return and for lots of other things in return.'
Is there anything wrong with Afghanistan taking money from Iran?

President Karzai accused the United States of leaking Iranian payments because of disagreements over the private security companies but does he have to justify his relationship with Iran?

My problem is the mode of payment. How do you justify the payment of money in bundles to a chief of staff as 'aid'? Are there no other appropriate channels through which the money could have been given?

How many Western governments secretly fund other 3rd world governments and nobody talks about it? Yet when Iran does so, it is a cause of concern? Absolutely ridiculous.This just goes to show the double standards held by western governments.
