Julia听DavisJulia Davis was born in 1966 and spent her childhood in the 主播大秀 Counties and Bath. Having done a series of jobs (teaching, nannying, pulling pints) she formed an improvisation double-act: Sisters Of Percy, with her friend Jane Roth. Sketches she had sent to the 主播大秀 led to the Radio 4 series Five Squeezy Pieces and she wrote for Steve Coogan as well as being cast in the sketch show Big Train. Her collaboration with Rob Brydon on Human Remains was an early indication of her preference for dark comedy. Citing Bergman and Abigail's Party as influences, she wrote and starred in the gruesomely comic Nighty Night, in which she excelled as manipulative human ogre Jill (winning a British Comedy Award nomination for Best Actress). She also appeared in The Alan Clarke Diaries and gave a caustically brilliant performance as Fanny Craddock in the one-off drama Fear Of Fanny.
