Cov bands picked to play Glastonbury

Pint Shot Riot and The Ripps have been selected to play on the Ö÷²¥´óÐã Introducing... stage at the 2007 Glastonbury Festival.

Two bands from Coventry have been chosen to appear at the 2007 Glastonbury Festival. The Ripps and Pint Shot Riot were picked by music experts from a field of over 100 bands to play on the Ö÷²¥´óÐã Introducing... stage at Glastonbury.

A panel of judges including Steve Lamacq, Huw Stephens and Emily Eavis selected the 24 bands. Ö÷²¥´óÐã Coventry & Warwickshire were one of only two local Ö÷²¥´óÐã stations to get more than one band chosen, which just goes to prove the huge amount of talent in our area.

The Ö÷²¥´óÐã Introducing... stage is brand new for 2007 at Glastonbury. The stage marks the launch of Ö÷²¥´óÐã Introducing…, which will bring together new music shows across the Ö÷²¥´óÐã, including Ö÷²¥´óÐã Coventry & Warwickshire's Sounds programme.

Ö÷²¥´óÐã Radio 1's Steve Lamacq is an avid fan and supporter of the band and recently made their track Holes his song of the week.
