Just Morale

Our Band of the Month for September is Bedworth’s Just Morale.

Bringing energy, passion and confidence to the stage, Just Morale aren’t your average indie rockers. Delivering strong vocals, catchy riffs and sing-a-long lyrics, they are a band that you cannot resist to enjoy. Clearly enjoying themselves as much as the audience, they invite you to dance and throw yourself into their music as much as they do.

Hailing from Bedworth, they are tipped for big things and have even used the same producer as The Enemy for their track Hold on Tight. With their sound being a strong mix of indie, rock and pop they have created a good quality selection of potential hit singles.

Godiva Festival

When previously speaking to Ö÷²¥´óÐã Coventry and Warwickshire, the band spoke of playing at Coventry’s Godiva festival. They said "Godiva was the biggest thing we’ve done, but we think we can top it."

Just Morale at Godiva 2009

Just Morale certainly know how to pen a decent lyric. Indie Rock and Roll Girl and Textbook are dance anthems for a festival and certainly get your feet moving. When asked who writes the songs, the band claimed that Perry can take most of the credit, but the band say "we all have a dabble" when it comes to making music. With choruses that stay in your head all day and verses which speak honestly and frankly, their songs are certainly attention grabbers - which propels them above other artistes.

What's in a name?

When asked what their name meant, they said the meaning could be derived from two different things. One is that some think it reads as just-more-ale - as the boys like a tipple now and then.

The other is, when sitting in a garage they read the word ‘moral’ as ‘morale’ on a tin and then they just got their name from that. Either way, Just Morale are a very talented group of musicians who have brilliant stage presence and memorable songs.

Just morale are next playing at Coventry’s Kasbah on 18, September 2009
