The site has changed ! Or is it just me?

There used to be text synopses of all episodes, so that I could catch up if I had been away for more than 7 days - as is the case now. I am unable to find these any more - or am I looking in the wrong place. I always enjoyed reading the storylines to catch up as much as possible before listening to the recordings. Please help!!

    Hi benners42

The synopses are in the Catch Up section of the website - Click on the date of the episode you're looking for here:

    Hope that helps

It's not obvious that you need to click on the date to get the text - and it is only for the last week

Ammiemoor - I hope you are NOT suggesting that the new website is anything other than perfect?

Only the wrong sort of listener would be capable of such a thought.

Off to Room 101 with you.

You can click on the By Date tab on the Catch up page to access older episodes, but beware if you don't like spoilers. The first thing you see is tasters for some future episodes.

    NO

    You must be wrong.

That would be foolish and inconsiderate.

‘You can click on the By Date tab on the Catch up page to access older episodes, but beware if you don't like spoilers.’

I do not think they are spoilers, rather just tasters, as you say. I looked at the one liners from now until boxing day and it is not possible to conclude what actually happens as they are vague and slightly cryptic; one might imagine many scenarios from them. For example, ‘............ is disgruntled’. It tells us not what or who the person is disgruntled about. There are many possibilities and some find it amusing to try and guess what it might mean.

If we look at last week, I do not believe that the content gave a clear idea of what was to be broadcast:

Lynda is fuming. I doubt many guessed it was because her posters were changed.

Iftikar feels out of place. But we did not know under what circumstances.

Fallon and Kirsty are scoring points. Perhaps over each other but hardly a revealing comment.

Matt has cause for celebration. He may have won the lottery but it could be anything.

Neil's worries increase. One might have a guess about the topic but not the detail.

Lilian feels conflicted. Probably we might guess this one but did not know how it would materialise.

Kenton is nervous. Quite obscure, I’d say.

I do not believe that a rational person would think of them as spoilers. As for regular complaints about actors’ pictures, they have been appearing in newspapers and TV since the 1950s, well before the internet, so unless the offended person does not read or watch TV they are unavoidable. Or perhaps they have their spouse or manservant edit the paper before they read it.

I agree and I don't mind them at all. Sometimes it's useful to know which characters might be involved, particularly if you don't like them. But I know that some people don't even like to hear the continuity announcer, so I thought I'd better mention it.

But when you see "Keith is unhappy in prison" on Wednesday it does rather spoil "Will Keith go to prison" on Monday?
