i have been desparately trying to find a date to offer to some friends - and the best I can come up with is FEB 2010!! I was recounting this story to a friend and wryly added that at this rate I couldn't die without at least 6 months notice. She replied with this picture of Terry Pratchett's Death negotiating with me for a diary date. While funny it sort of struck me that life is so hectic these days that there isn't any time for a day just to chill out. So - deep breath here and cancelled out a whole week's appointments and booked a week at a glorious place in Marakkesh for reading, pottering and sleeping before Christmas.

So why do I now feel really guilty?

Ohh GEm, that sounds just the ticket. Don't dare feel guilty, anyone who has no free date in the diary until Feb, is someone in clear need of a little pottering, in my view. Enjoy

Because you are always putting the needs of others before your own?

Enjoy that week off and stop worrying. What good will you be to family, friends and clients if you are burnt out?
