February Authors and Genres - Books you meant to but never have read

    This is an opportunity to mention books you haven't read but always meant to. The kind of book that is the province of book clubs and without their compulsion you probably never will.

    For me it is anything by Barbara Kingsolver. I tried to read "The Ironwood Bible" which my kind sister lent to me, but found one or two of the characters so irritating that I stopped.

    I am listening to "The Far Pavilions" on the wireless, another I thought I would never read, and maybe I never shall now, but maybe if it is in the library before they are all closed, I may have a go.
