Flipping, flipping, flipping heck and other expletives.
My right leg hasn't felt right for at least a couple of months. Went to the doctor (but couldn't see the one who has seen this all the way through), 10 days of antibiotics just in case and a pat on the shoulder, last week went to see the practice nurse and she took bloods but somehow forgot to ask for the inflammatory marker count.
Today saw my GP who thinks for certain there is some grumbling infection there. Has me back on serious penicillin, got more bloods taken, wants to see me in a week to see the effects of the penicillin and has referred me back to the tropical diseases man in Hull.
(OK, it is really the infections and tropical diseases man but it sounded more exotic to leave a bit of it out).
I am glad that finally someone professional agrees it isn't right but on the other had am really peed off that she agrees with me and it isn't right.
So what do I want from you all? Well a bit of support on this next bit of the journey please, plus any experience of osteomylitis.

Support winging its way XNo. What a pain in the **** this has been for you. I'm so sorry.
All because you fed the birds .... if I remember right? You tripped on a step?
Oh XXX No.
This definitely calls for a large order of Fresh Fruit Salad!
I am so sorry to hear this.
I hope your chap in tropical Hull can sort this out pronto.
Very best wishes

Don't have any experience of osteomyelitis but wanted to say what incredible bad luck, when your spent such a long time in such pain, in with such worry and uncertainty, and dealt with it all so stoically, as well.
All the best for this - thank heaven that you knew enough, and had enough insight and self-confidence to know that your ankle just didn't feel right, nit in a "twist that'll feel better in a week way", to get and keep things moving.
Also, from what Birdie says, it's really irritating and typical when something so minor that otherwise you wouldn't even remember it causes a serious injury.
Riding, I've had all sorts of dramatic falls, being kicked and dragged, once both together, but the worst horseriding injury I had was just, after a ride, sitting in the field, talking, with my stirrups out, and the pony went back 2 steps when dads friend lifted the lid of a cement mixer. I slipped off, as had happened hundreds of times, landed awkwardly on my arm, complicated compound fracture, operation, weeks in hospital, months in plaster.
Good luck to you - if I was you, I'd invoke the Tropical Diseases bloke, to give myself added glamour, very often.

Still got your Sloes in the freezer.

Another one saying buggrit and hope you get sorted soon. Thought of recently when I acquired apricot and orange marmalade which is by the way delish......
Hope you get some answers soon and that it can be sorted....

Still got your Sloes in the freezer. Â
I read this as 'still got your shoes in the freezer' and was wondering why you seemed to be making life even more uncomfortable for poor XNo. Though if this all kicks off again (sorry), the right shoe might as well be in the freezer.

Very sorry to see you have problems with your leg again Nomes.
I hope your docs get the right anti Bs and get it better asap.
Buggrit indeed.
Oh, flipping flipping FLIP!!! is all I can say to this news. I really believed you'd had the last of your troubles. Really sorry to hear this. Hope it turns out to be a short-lived problem and not as serious as it might be. No experience/knowledge, but plenty of good wishes.
'Ö'
Not more trouble ? Oh No.
Hope it gets sorted quickly Xno.
X my digits, XNo.
