i am perplexed, i asked a question about slightly conflicting advice from these two gardeners on the allotment threads,i was expecting to hear from some of you who appear to be devotees of one or other, (I think they are both good presenters and gardeners)or is it that you do not read the allotment threads
I've just 'pinged it' for you. Jo. (drat the 3min rule)!
I expect most people are just too busy finishing off the xmas cake to answer. I am a minor Monty fan, but I never listen to a word he says...
Little-Ann
I don't have an allotment so don't visit the Allotment thread. That's my excuse. With your original post, before it disappears into the ether, 'ping' it then it returns to the top of the queue, and that will remind the allotmenteers that it needs an answer. x
i have the answer thank you Paul N, but there was no response from the Geoff or Monty Fans.perhaps they only watch for the entertainment not the gardening information.
that was why i was perplexed
You are beginning to get the idea, LittleAnn. Posters like me are riddled with hidden shallows.
Paul N, you are clearly a man in the know. Tell me, how exactly do I "ping" a post?
Wow, compliments.
Right go to the thread you want to come back to the top of the list and type in 'Ping' (or any other word, come to that). Click on 'Post message'. As that will now be the newest post, it'll come to the top of the listing and to other readers attentions.

Ping!! - that's the way to do it!!
Little-Anne, you are right that Geoff said to sow onion seeds 6 seeds per cell in a greenhouse then plant out when the roots filled the cell, he then said to sow salad onions 6 seeds to a cell and then to plant out UNDER CLOCHES as soon as roots have filled the cell, not black plastic. This is in GEOFF HAMILTON'S GARNERS WORLD book.
