It appears that Phyll is now starting a GW thread each week - are there any moderators on duty aver the weekend? If so, could they make sure, please that all posts are on that thread.
Also, could everyone post on that thread instead of opening new ones all the time.It gets tedious posting replies on multiple threads, but if you don't how do you know they will be seen?
I'm sure a one thread policy would be appreciated by most posters - Iknow I speak for myself and presumably Paul too smiley - winkeye

You've surely been around long enough in your various disguises to have learned the difference by now between a host's function and those of the mods.

    I'll second that too.
I notice that these new treads are mostly being opened by people who have negative commends to make about the programme. Won't it be more productive if they are all under one thread for everyone to read?

Speak for yourself sensibleSparkles - but then you do, don't you - over and over again the same little messages in every thread you can find.

"Hmm" we seem to have been here before. Last year there was a long running thread with around 1000 posts every couple of weeks.
We then got an outcry by self appointed Censors to cut the chat and keep to gardening.
Host opened the famous Potting Shed which now gets around ten hits a week and all the nice chatty friendly people left.
People are free to say what they wish on any subject, if you do not like it fair enough we all have our own ideas.
Other threads like cookery have a chat thread included which gets quite lively and even at times talks about cookery?
Leave well alone I say it manages to bumble along as it is, "Bumble"? yes I think that was the word I was looking for!
    Frank.

I'm not talking about chat threads Frank - there are loads of threads on here slagging off the same edition of GW

SS, if you truely believe we should have all posted on just Phyll's thread can you please explain why you felt you had to post on six of them (five of which you have made the same inane comment)? I can't see that you are any better than anyone else, infact you are worse becasue you couldn't even manage to add any new comments to the discussions. smiley - erm

The fact that there are quite a few threads discussing the poor quality of this week’s edition of GW indicates just how strongly viewers feel about what is currently on offer. In some cases an author will come at the problem with a possible solution that is worthy of another discussion. Since the message board format changed (despite protestations from its users to keep the old format) so that we no longer see discussion strings within discussions, multiple threads covering the same subject are the result and a user friendly solution. I dislike being chivied up by a couple of message boarders who take it upon themselves to police the board when there is a justifiable reason for multiple threads, particularly as one of them just repeats the same sentence over and over - and over again.

I explained why i did that - if there are multiple threads then one has to post on them otherwise ones voice and opinions ( and mine are as valid as anyone elses ) are not heard as not everyone reads every thread.
I'm sorry that I misjudged the mood ( I had noticed that Paul always moans about multiple threads and does not get attacked for it )
As I ( and my views ) seem so unpopular with the Old Guard, who obviously regard these boards as their private domain ( and God help anyone who disagrees or doesn't bow down to certain sainted presenters ) I shall not be bothering you any more - although I shall continue to enjoy Gardener's World - fronted by a proper gardener - something which has been sadly lacking in the recent past.
Hope you are not too "up yourselves" to have a good gardening summer.
P.S. I do not have any other posting personnas so another misconception by the "thought police"
