A few weeks ago I heard them mention something about a government run scheme to get more trained gardeners on the what's hot, what's not section on GW. They didn't really give much more info and I've typed a few things in on google but still didn't manage to find anything, does anyone know where I can find more info?

If it's anything to do with this government don't hold your breath.
I was thinking about this this afternoon when I was slogging away at the weeding and not getting half of what I wanted to do done. How I wished I was 20 years younger and fitter and then I thought with the lack of jobs and training for young people, why doesn't someone match up youth with experience and set up a garden mentor system?
Young people could learn about growing plants and do the heavy work and older people could advise them on how and what needs doing and each could share the produce.
