The most important bit on that site is about a structural survey. You could easily double the load on the roof structure.
Jon,
What do you want to build it on?
As an engineer I do know it will need a good sized structure to take the weight, be costly, need founds for the structure to stand on.
Last years efforts putting a green roof on a rabbit hutch and garden shed on Gardeners World failed miserably.
The rabbits looked petrified and the garden shed was falling down as they planted it up.
Joe once put one on a garden shed with a massive posted structure round the hut so nothing was actually resting on the hut itself.
Now if you are thinking of one on a house or garage then you will need plans for the structure and a sympathetic bank manager.
Please tell us what your thoughts are.
Frank.
