A very quick one - in the GW easter special, Carol took root cuttings of her fav Primula. Has anyone tried the same &/or had any success with Polyanthus? They are the same family (aren't they??)
i thought polyanthus are better at offsets?
If you only want a few additional plants, then offsets are ideal assuming the plant has produced some.
If you want to propagate many plants from one parent then root cuttings can produce more. If it works for Primula denticulata, then it should work for Polyanthus hybrids, though I've never tried either personally.
I thought you could just take a leaf of these plants and stick them in the ground.
